Yep, guys before us were off the green then just as I
teed off the marshall came off the over the hill and my ball was going straight at him. I yelled “FORE”, my ball hit his cart, I laughed, and got a re-hit for free.

Embarrassed to admit it but in thirty years i have had to yell fore for errant shots about 8 times. Importantly though, i have never hit anyone.

i’ve yelled fore before because it was a very tight course, and I hit someone’s cart. never the actual person though.

no but i should have on the practice green. i almost hit my coach TWICE. he yelled @ me and i avoided him the nxt day @ camp.

Had experiences where the following foursome has hit into us, with a warning from us to stop . Two holes later, the idiots did the same thing whereupon I preceded to pick up their ball, place it on a peg, and with my Driver, hit a low screamer which rose as it approached them and just cleared their heads. With a little waving of the club along with a few choice words, told them what would happen next if they drove into us again. There were no problems with the remainder of the round. Too bad a very good drive was wasted.

Actually I yell it all too often but one time comes to mind, I was playing a short downhill par 4 when I just crushed a drive. The ball was heading directly for the green where a group was getting ready to putt. I yelled fore but it was too late. The ball bounced just once and nailed one of the guys in the inner thigh as he was taking a step. He grabbed his thigh and fell rolling around on the green. I hopped in my cart and went to apologize. I got to the green and went up to the guy ready to beg for forgiveness. He looked at me and said, “no need to apologize, that was a great shot.” We laughed it off and I went on my way. Needless to say they left the ball where it was and I got an eagle. My first and only.

Yes have yelled fore quite a few times. See sometimes I have a terrible slice. It tends to show up late in a round after drinking. I remember teeing off on a par 3 late in the round. The ball took off right. Well right next to green was a tee for another par three. I yelled fore and everyone scrambled. Luckily it missed everyone. But I have hit one person but it was on a roll and it was actually a straight drive. LOL.

I once shouted FORE RIGHT by accident instead of FORE LEFT when the ball went left, so i was moaned at by two groups of people!

No, but I did get mixed up and yelled “TIMBER!” at the golf course and nearly hit somebody with the ball. That wasn’t nearly as bad as the time I yelled “FORE!!” in the forest after chopping down a tree. No one was hurt but a few people had to change their ‘undies’ when they got home!

Yup I hit my father friend clean in the nuts one time. My brother and I were both younger and my father and his friend took us golfing they were walking ahead of us because we were taking so long. I hit one and noticed that it was headed right for them so i yelled fore…….his timing couldn’t been better because just as he turned around he took one for the team right in the balls….. ouch!!!!!

but my brother was teaching somebody how to swing their driver and he hit him in the chin and he had stiches and has a scar
