Hi Jonathan; You must read Walden by Henry David Thoreau. His book answers the questions you've asked here. It's one of life's sweetest and simplist of experiences, yet's it's so profound. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have each time I've read it. It makes me wish I could live such a simple life.

I've never had any questions answered, but I've found a lot of interesting things in the woods. Walking sticks, for instance....the insects, not a literal stick. Chipmunks playing among the rocks. Birds building nests or tending to their young. Big spiders spinning webs. Now and then a small stream flowing, with crayfish and minnows in it. It's very relaxing out in the woods, and gives me a new appreciation for the varieties of life we share the planet with.

i grew up with a woods as far as physical you can breathe fresh air listen to peaceful sounds of leaves rustling, birds singing, squirrels scampering
psychological level again it goes back to much of the previously mentioned items you have a chance to hear your self think and clear your head as far as the questions go i've personally never had any answered i just go to meditate and talk to god as i am a christian and just think and let nature relax me i love to just sit and be still and observe nature with all 5 senses especially with fall coming the crisp cool air changing colors on leaves the crackle of them as you step
