I agree with them Also a beginner set should run you under $200 .. and You might only wana buy a set with certain clubs . When beginning you dont need irons 3 -LW it will do nuthing but confuse you Gte you a driver a fairway wood or hybrid and maybe odd numbers like 3,5,7,9 PW for irons and of course a putter. As Far as what you wear is up to you. Make sure you check the course dress code if they have one because some do want you to wear a collared shirt.

I agree with the other 2 answers. The first set of clubs that I ever purchased was a set that was on sale for around 50% off. It had 3-9 irons with a pitching wedge and a driver, 3 and 5 wood. The whole set was WELL under $200. Look at the stores like Target and WalMart, but also some sporting goods stores, they may have a set like this for you for very cheap. Also, there are used clubs for sale everywhere, and for very cheap. Look on ebay, or even local golf shops. The golf stores are great to go to because they have used clubs and can also give you some free advise while you are there. Hope this helps

I wouldn't spend a lot on a golf set yet since you are a beginner. Get a set from Target or Walmart and learn the basics of the game and once you start to hit the ball consistently, then purchase a better brand from a golf store. Ladies typically wear skorts or shorts and sleeveless shirts. No spaghetti straps because your better courses(country club and residential community courses) don't allow them or denim. Public courses ran by the city don't care as much.
