But your question states "if you LIVED in the woods". If I LIVED in the woods, and wasn't just stranded there, presumably I would have enough knowledge concerning my environment to be able to eat at least a few of the hundreds of plants in the florida everglades. If you lived in the woods, could you find enough meat to survive?

I seriously doubt the average person who was just plunked into the woods could, as animals are pretty good at avoiding people, and the average person has never had to catch, never mind KILL the meat that they eat.

But your question states “if you LIVED in the woods”. If I LIVED in the woods, and wasn’t just stranded there, presumably I would have enough knowledge concerning my environment to be able to eat at least a few of the hundreds of plants in the florida everglades.

I have actually done it lived in a wood for six months, December to late June eating only what I could find. It was a protest against cutting some really old trees down and It was not a pleasant experience, I lost 3.5 stones in weight over Jan/Feb/March and wouldn't want to repeat it..... ever. It can be done though, if know what you are doing and you are prepared to eat everything that is edible. Don't recommend it tho'.
