he’s your friend. of course you’re responsible. not to pay all the bills but to make sure he’s OK. if he’s out of a job now and no insurance to pay for the broken arm you should do what you can.

More than likely, if you were driving. Because it is a golf cart, I am assuming you do not have insurance on it, which means you’d be liable for the bill out of pocket.
Something for the courts to decide should he press charges

Was it an accident or did you do it on purpose? If you guys did it on purpose then your friend would have known that getting a broken arm is something that might happen so I would say he should pay but if it was an accident then I would make the jesture to pay. Be careful next time! LOL

hmmmm…you say “LAST NIGHT” you was driving your golf cart. Obviously you wasn’t golfing….and I’d be willing to wager that both of you was drinking….
As far as who is responsible for the medical bills…off hand I’d say you are…but there seems to be mitigating circumstances too…you both agreed to go for a ride in the night in a golf cart….hopefully it was on your property,,,in which case the home owners insurance will take care of it…and from now on…only use the golf cart for golfing.
Another thought…if you was on the golf course….it’s possible that the club is responsible in some way
